I am in my 9th year of teaching shop courses (construction and mechanics) at Composite. Originally from Thunder Bay, I spent seven years in the Air Cadet program, going away every summer on training ranging from aircrew survival, athletic instructor, to earning a private pilot's license. I then spent seven years in the Canadian Army Reserve as a Vehicle Technician, while I was in university. Shortly before moving to Fort McMurray, I spent a year teaching at a behaviour school, known as a Pupil Refferal Unit, in Wednesbury, England, UK. This year showed me how lucky we are to live in Canada, compared to the rest of the world.
I currently enjoy contracting on the side. This includes all aspects of home construction and woodworking. I also enjoy going 4x4ing and winching in my F-250 Diesel, as well as ripping through the trails on my Grizzly 700. When the weather is fair, I also enjoy riding on my FJ1200.
I enjoy engaging in all aspects of construction and auto mechanics in both my professional and personal life. If you have any questions about the construction or mechanics program at Comp, please don't hesitate to contact me.
